Worship and weekly news for July 9, 2023

posted in: News, Worship | 0

Hello faith family! This is the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost, July 9, 2023, Year A.

Weekly News

See our Carpenter’s Helper Newsletter for this week. This week we celebrate the couple Priscilla and Aquila: a first century Christian missionary married couple described in the New Testament. Aquila is traditionally listed among the Seventy Disciples. They lived, worked, and traveled with the Apostle Paul, who described them as his “fellow workers in Christ Jesus.”

Also, there are flower dedications available for the next 3 Sundays. Please let the office know if you have anything you’d like to celebrate or memorialize. Volunteers are needed for Code Orange.

Hello faith family! This is the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost, July 2, 2023, Year A. This week we celebrate Thomas the Apostle: one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament. Thomas is commonly known as “Doubting Thomas” because he initially doubted the resurrection of Jesus Christ when he was told of it (as is related in the Gospel of John); he later confessed his faith (“My lord and my God”) on seeing the wounds left over from the crucifixion.

Weekly News

See our Carpenter’s Helper Newsletter for this week. There are flower dedications available for the next 4 Sundays. Please let the office know if you have anything you’d like to celebrate or memorialize.
