ECM 2021Episcopal Campus Ministry (ECM) is a place to explore and live spirituality in community with other students, faculty, staff and parishioners. Based at St. Thomas’s, ECM would like to reach out to fellow Episcopalians who will be attending the University of Delaware. Continuing ECM students, student advisors, and members of St. Thomas’s would like to invite them to Wednesday worship and meals, welcome them to prayer and reflection, and introduce them to a ministry of learning and service at the very edge of the university campus. No topic is off limits and everyone is welcome!

Come for a free supper, stay for the community!

There’s always food and fun, time to worship and time to just hang out. On Wednesdays, ECM students meet at 5:30 p.m. for  Evening Prayer and then enjoy dinner at 6:00 p.m. Sunday worship at St. Thomas’s is at 8 or 10:30 a.m.

ECM is proud of the various ways in which ECM students have served. A former ECM student has become a priest (Rev. Ann Urinoski), two students served on the Diocesan Council, two students were delegates to our Diocesan Convention, three students served as facilitators for St. Thomas’s youth group, one student became ECM Graduate Convening Advisor, and one student participated in the Episcopal Church Young Adult Service Corp.

ECM students started and continue to run Blue Hen Bounty, a food pantry that provides supplemental nutrition to  University of Delaware students who are food insecure and cannot provide ample nutrition for themselves. Food insecure students are invited to come to ECM’s Blue Hen Bounty food closet every Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. or by going to the Parish Office at St. Thomas’s Parish, 276 S. College Ave., Newark, Delaware 19711.
