Letting our Light SHINE

posted in: Christmas, News | 0

This is a call for Christmas Lights! And, it will be followed by a call to help decorate. If you have any extra working Christmas lights or see a deal too good to pass up, please share. You can drop them at the church office Mon.-Thur. from 9 a.m.-noon or email Cana, Parish Administrator, at StThomassOffice@googlegroups.com and she will do a contactless porch pick-up.

Thanks in advance for your help! It is more important than ever, during this unusual season, that we remind our community that we are still here, that God’s love is constant, and we are filled with JOY remembering the birth of our Savior. Our parish will be participating in the2020 Newark Christmas light tour.

The Greening of the Church for Christmas will take place immediately after the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist on December 23rd.  All parish members are invited to help the Flower Guild place potted plants and hang evergreen roping and wreaths.  Stay after the service and have some floral fun!

Many thanks,
Rue Manning for the Flower Guild

Christmas Flower Memorials

During the season of Advent the altar is decorated with greens and no flower memorials are accepted. This presents a grand opportunity to remember your loved ones, celebrate special occasions, or express your thanksgivings by sharing in the floral display for Christmas. Pink forms for this purpose will be available starting Sunday, December 9. The completed forms and accompanying donation should be placed in the alms basin or returned to the church office by Monday, December 17 for inclusion in the Christmas season bulletins.
