St. Thomas’s has a Pastoral Care Committee to take care of our church family. Here are some of the things we can do:
• Give rides to PT, chemo or Dr. appointments
• Make meals for people who are just home from the hospital or need some temporary help
• Provide respite for a caretaker who just needs a little break • Visit with those who may be lonely
SO, if you or your loved one are going to the hospital, call the office – otherwise, we won’t know. HIPA laws prevent hospitals from telling us you are there.
Call the office if you think you could use anything we might be able to provide. Jesus said, “Feed my lambs”
Blessing of the Eucharistic Visitors
Day by day, we send out Eucharistic visitors to take the Sacrament to those who cannot be with us in church. This good work may take place on Sunday afternoon, but it may also be on Tuesday evening or Friday morning. To keep it in our hearts, on the first Sunday of the month, we pray for this holy work and those who serve in it.
In the name of God and of this congregation, we send out Eucharistic ministers bearing the bread and wine of the Holy Eucharist. We pray that those who bear it and those who receive it will know the presence of Christ and the love and
concern that we send with it. May God bless this ministry and all who are touched by it. Amen.
