LOREM IPSUM

Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer is a form of silent meditation that helps us open our hearts to God's presence. In words attributed to Saint John of the Cross, “Silence is God’s first language.” You are invited to join us for Centering Prayer in St Thomas’s sanctuary every Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. This member-led service does not include communion, and you don't need to bring anything. If you are familiar with the practice, great! If an interest in silent contemplation is new to you, or if you are just plain curious, that’s great too! Come join us. Please use the Julian Porch entrance. Contact the office with any questions.

Intercessory prayer with holy communion

Intercessory prayer, combined with Holy Communion, is a powerful act of faith where we come together to pray on behalf of others, seeking God’s intervention and blessings in their lives. During this sacred time in the middle of the week, we not only remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through the sharing of bread and wine but also lift up the needs of our community, friends, and loved ones. We warmly invite you to join us every Wednesday at noon for a special service dedicated to intercessory prayer and Holy Communion. This service is held in-person and streamed live on YouTube each week. Come and experience the strength of collective prayer and the grace of communion as we unite in faith and fellowship.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.
Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf,  and give thanks for them.
-1 Timothy 2:1

Compline evening prayer

Compline, also known as Night Prayer, is a peaceful and reflective service that marks the end of the day. It includes prayers, and psalms, creating a serene atmosphere for contemplation and rest. At St. Thomas’s, we invite you to join us for Compline every Thursday at 7pm on Zoom. This brief gathering lasts only around 15 minutes, making it a perfect way to end your day with a sense of calm and spiritual renewal. Every now and then, this worship service is directly followed by an informal discussion that reviews material from our podcast, Graceful Waves. All are welcome to attend and experience the tranquility of Compline together. Contact the office if you need a Zoom invitation.
