Ash Wednesday -- Our forty day journey with Jesus to the Cross and his Resurrection begins with “… the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s holy Word.” The mark that begins our Lenten journey is that of the ashes of last year’s palms from Palm Sunday. Services for the Imposition of Ashes & Holy Eucharist at St. Thomas’s will be held on March 1 at 7:30 a.m., 12:10 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. in the Church. In between service times, Fr. Paul and Lay Eucharistic Visitors will make as many home visits as possible of those requested to our shut-in’s.
