During the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Thomas’s is alive and well. We are worshiping via live streaming on YouTube (See our YouTube Channel and hit Subscribe!). The full-text bulletins for our services can be found on our website, and by email request. We also continue to respond to the needs of the Newark community through our collaboration with the Newark Empowerment Center and others. Drive through, walk up, skate by, ride your bike – we will read the confession, Fr Howie will offer absolution, and we will read the Lord’s Prayer (from a card to be provided), and then the Host will be offered as we do presently in church – in small plastic cups. Masks and hand sanitizer will be in use. This is a community effort to feed people in need. Every weekday, the churches in Newark make lunch for anybody who is hungry. St. Thomas's has co-teamed with St. Nicholas to make lunch on the 3rd Monday of each month. The shifts are short, but the camaraderie is long:
10 AM - 11:45 Prepare lunch
11:45 - 1 Serve lunch
11:30 - 12:30 Cleanup
