JoAnn Balingit grew up in Florida and lives in Delaware where she served as poet laureate from 2008 to 2015. She’s the author of Words for House Story (WordTech, 2013) and was a 2017 VONA/Voices resident in prose, working on a memoir. She coordinates Delaware's Poetry Out Loud program, and teaches poetry and creative writing at libraries and nonprofit organizations.Her latest poems appear at Poemeleon,TheRumpus, Vallum Magazine and www.poets.org. Sunday, September 17 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM	Youth Confirmation Meets in the Undercroft. All youth in 7th and 8th grade or who are at least 12 years of age are invited to join the 2018 Confirmation Class for a spirit-filled journey centered around worship, learning, service, witness and fellowship. There will be loads of prayerful dialogue, laughter and fun, too! Confirmation completes our baptism and is the sacramental rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, culminating with the laying on of hands by the bishop. Youth Confirmation classes are held on Sundays at 9 – 10:15 a.m. from Sept. to May, and include a pilgrimage to The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City.
