Thursday, December 9 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | trip to NYCWe will be taking the 6:30 train from Wilmington to Penn Station. Then- off to the Met cloisters. The exhibit we are going to see is called "Spain, 1000-1200: Art at the Frontiers of Faith." It brings together Christian, Muslim, and Jewish objects from that period to show how the meeting of three great religions influenced all of them. And for practical reference, the exhibit is at the Cloisters, the Met's medieval satellite on the Upper West Side of Manhattan rather than at the Met's main building on Central Park. Then we will take Amtrack back to Wilmington, arriving at 5pm. |
