All Saints Day

“For all the saints” – A Festal Celebration of All Saints Day& Prayers for All Faithful Departed: All Saints Day is our time we set apart to honor the saints before us and the saints among us, and St. Thomas’s does this in two ways.

On Saturday, October 29 at 11 a.m. you are invited to join in a service of prayer and remembrance of all the faithful departed of our St. Thomas’s Parish family since last year, as well as those of our life journey we bring in our hearts. We will gather at St. Thomas’s churchyard and cemetery, weather permitting, located along Delaware Avenue in between old St. Thomas’s [now Bayard-Sharp Performance Hall] and the parking garage. It is a brief and moving liturgy, and the opportunity to tell and hear the stories of those who have served our parish faithfully in their life We will conclude with the simple celebration of Holy Eucharist. On Sunday, November 6, we will begin ALL worship services this day with solemn remembrance of those who have died into the promise of God and Christ Jesus since All Saints Day last year, and will invite your remembrances of those of our parish family. Each name will be said followed by the solemn toll of a bell and silence. If you wish to have a person to be remembered in our memorial prayers, please call Cami Seward, Parish Administrator, at the church office or e-mail camiseward@gmail.com with the names as you wish them to be printed on or before Sunday, October 24..
