We have a day full of special activities coming up on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

BREAKFAST: Children’s Ministries will be hosting breakfast between the services. Children and/or their families are invited to donate food items and to help set up, serve, or clean up.

FAMILY CHURCH SUNDAY: Children and their families are invited to serve in the worship service on this day. Let me know what you may be interested in. The Carew family is already signed up to read all the readings in the 10:30 a.m. service!

TRUNK OR TREAT: Trunk or Treat will be happening after the 10:30 a.m. service. Anyone who wants is feeling creative is encouraged to create a fun themed car or table for the event. If you need ideas, there are lots of them on the Internet. The idea is to have fun while moving from “trunk” to “trunk” collecting candy or other treats. There will also be one or more crafts or games available.

UNICEFUNICEF: The last Sunday of October is traditionally Children’s Ministries day to collect for Trick or Treat
for UNICEF so of course those little orange boxes will be around!

And one more thing…….Movie Night at St. Thomas’s is on Saturday, October 15, 2022. My favorite movie will be playing:
Wizard of OZ!

I hope to see many of you or the children in your families participating in all or some of these great activities. There will be a link to Sign Up Genius for the breakfast jobs/donations and to sign up for Trunk or Treat coming soon!

Children’s Ministries begins September 11, 2022

Hello St.Thomas’s Community,

The last days of August mean “back to school” for many of us. At St. Thomas’s, it means the start of the program year for Children’s Ministries. Our Sunday School team has planned a great year for our children and families, and I encourage everyone with children aged 4 years to 6th grade to register for this year’s program AND that you invite others to join us.

Our Sunday School program kicks off on September 11, 2022 at 10:15 a.m. with registration and refreshments and then Ms. Madeline will lead our first lesson at 10:30 a.m.  We also have some extra events planned throughout the year.  See information about our program and a calendar of activities. Paper copies of this information is also available at church or I can mail it to you. Please let me know what if you have questions or need additional information.  I would love to share in this ministry with you. I can be reached at belmar43@aol.com or 302-388-4017.

In order to make it the best year ever, our ministry team needs more adults and post-confirmation teens to volunteer to help us. We have several roles to fill. You could volunteer to help on a regular basis or just for an event. All are welcome.  Some of the roles include lead teacher, assistant teacher or classroom helper, event organizer, event helpers, and family outing organizer.  Please let me know what interests you and what you are willing and able to do.  I would love to share in this ministry with you. I can be reached at belmar43@aol.com or 302-388-4017.

Please register your child aged 4 years to 6th grade for our Children’s Ministry program. This form will provide us with contact information and allow us to plan for the needs of your children.  Paper copies will be available on September 11, 2022, at church and in our classroom every week.

Won’t you consider signing up to be a Leader or Assistant leader for Sunday School?

I look forward to seeing all of you soon!

Blessings,

Belinda Young-Payne
